as far as i am concerned the only comfortable controllers were the snes and n64. i couldent stand the playstation controllers the position of your hands while holding it is uncomfortable and the buttons are too spread apart. it becomes hard to press 2 buttons with the same finger..i always had used my thumb to hold the run button and also press the jump button whenever i needed to with the nes, snes and n64.. with the playstation it really hurts my thumb after awhile because i have to streach even further to do so…
and the xbox controllers felt too bulky but were still better than the playstation..
n64 is top dog in my opinion.. wii and snes are right there with the n64..
i dislike the xbox ps2+ and stuff because of the style of gameplay..
most of the new games for ps3, xbox360 are really graphical and complicated.. its not like you can just sit down with anybody and expect them to play it…

with the nes, snes, and n64 it wasent complicated.. you could bring over the dumbest girlfriend you have ever had, crack open a few beers and expect her to be able to beat level 1 in mario.. you cant say the same thing for the new games like call of duty games, or gears of war..
nintendo has always hit the nail right on the head with each console.. the systems were simple and enjoyable.

I’ll put this as nicely as possible: I know quite a bit about college football, and agree with the majority of the country (Midwest, Southwest, Southeast, and East Coast) when I say that USC would not have had anywhere close to 7 straight 11 win seasons in the Big 12 or SEC. That’s a fact, and exactly why the Trojans aren’t as widely respected as Florida, Oklahoma, Texas, etc.

Clearly you know very little about college football. USC has won 11 games 7 consecutive years, a record. USC has finished in the top 4 7 straight years, a record. They had a stretch where they went 37-2 over the course of 3 years, winning 2 national titles and 2 Heisman trophies. None of the other teams on this list have had a 3 year stretch anywhere near that. All the teams on this list have crap years here and there (2005 for OU, last year for LSU, 2 years ago for Florida) Hell, the year Tebow won the Heisman they lost 5 games! Including the bowl to Michigan! Sure, USC does have a tendency to lose to inferior teams, but who doesn’t? Florida hasn’t gone undefeated in the last 15 years. Oklahoma gets the SHIT beat out of them in bowl games every year, including in 2004 to USC, 55-19.

And there has been exactly 1 allegation of a USC football player getting illegal benefits in Pete Carroll’s era, and that was Reggie Bush. It is still under investigation, but no one believes the university paid him, it was a sports agent who was trying to get hired by him when he went pro that allegedly provided his family with a house.

-Dreamcast had an NBA game that I spent way too much time playing. It was awesome.
-Genesis, 100% correct with NHL 95.
-Super nintendo, super tecmo bowl. Probably still one of my favorite games of all time
-and who can hate on mario cart on nintendo 64.

All of these games contributed to me being the moron I am today

So we did, like any American we voiced our opinion and depending on which region of the country we grew up in we either agreed or disagreed with each other. You sir, are French. Being that this is a SPORTS illustrated website and this column references SPORTS, inherently we at some point have played sports and derived a love of sports from playing as kids. Since this column references gaming systems made in the early 80s, Im guessing most of us are in our mid 20s sitting alone at a meaningless job and happened across this awesome article and wanted nothing else but to voice our opinion. But you had to ruin it Mike D. Its not our fault you didnt receive adequate nourishment in Paris you goon.

I like the list, but the best game for SNES was by far and away NBA Jam, and the best game for N64 was Mario Kart 64.

The Sega CD did deliver greatness in “Night Trap.” A soft-porn-esque game that I believe featured Dana Plato from “Diff’rent Strokes.” That Scottie Pippen game might have been the biggest turd ever.
